Feeling overwhelmed, lost or sad? - counselling can help you towards a positive future
How can counselling help?
We all want to be happy, to have enjoyable, loving relationships and a contented, rewarding life. You may feel there's something holding you back from living your life to the full at home or at work. You may just want to reach some understanding about a particular problem.
Talking with a professional counsellor in a safe, private space lets you explore ways of making the changes that will enable you to reach resolution and move towards a more positive future.
Find out if counselling is for you?
If you decide to contact me I will invite you for a FREE introductory session. This is an opportunity for you to meet me, for us to look at what has brought you to seek counselling and your expectations of the service.
I can offer short, medium and long term counselling depending on your needs. Weekly sessions last 50 minutes. Initially you will be offered six sessions. The fifth will be a review giving us both an opportunity to look at what you have achieved and, if required, set goals for future sessions.
My approach is guided by you and your needs.
As a Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), confidentiality is the central focus of the Ethical Framework* within which I work.
As an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor experienced at working short term in the NHS and long term, I combine a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques when working with issues including anxiety, stress, depression, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, sexuality, sexual problems, dissociation, self-harm, addiction, personality disorders, bereavement and loss.
My aim is to support clients to feel stronger and move forward positively.
